Yes, Dreadlocks are apart of the Jamaican culture not all Jamaican have dreadlocks though. The dreadlocks hairstyle first appeared in Jamaica during post emancipation. It was a means of defiance for ex-slaves to rebel against Euro-centrism that was forced on them.
