Psalm 2 lyrics with English Translations
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
False kings of the earth have set themselves
And the rulers take counsel, together
Against the LORD and against the anointed, saying
Let us break their bands asunder
And cast away the cords from us
Now he that sitteth in his heaven shall laugh
The LORD shall have them in derision
And then shall he speak unto them in his wrath
And vex them in his sore displeasure
Yet have I set my kings upon the hills of Zion
I will declare it unto thee, the LORD hath said unto me
Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee
Ask of me and I shall give thee thy inheritance
And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron
Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel
Be wise therefore oh ye kings: inherit, ye judges of the earth
Serve the LORD with fear, rejoice in his trembling
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath And vex them in his sore displeasure Yet have I said unto my kings upon the holy hills of Zion I will now declare it, o Lord, Isaac said unto me My son, thou art my son this day have I begotten thee Ask of me and I shall give thee thy inheritance And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession The uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession, yea
